Williams On The Lake

Mark Williams / Emily Canning-Dean
Audio Details
Canning-Dean:
“Hello, this is Emily Canning Dean and I am here with Mark Williams, who owns Williams on the Lake with his wife Aly. And Mark, I’ve heard a lot about your Moongate Patio, used in ceremonies or special events. What can you tell us about that?”
Mark Williams:
“The Moongate was an area that was designed by my parents, around the idea of Oriental Moongates. And it was a vision my mom had, and it is very popular with couples for ceremony sites, as well as social events. It just makes a cool focus for outdoor, for events.”
Canning-Dean:
“Okay, great. And then, I know the 11-acre lake that was dug by your grandfather. I’m sure that’s an asset that a lot of couples really enjoy. Is that usually a special component of many of your events?”
Mark Williams:
“It is. The events are centered indoors in our beautiful buildings, but having the 20-plus acres of property and the grounds and the lake, and the buildings have the decks that are overlooking the lakes. It gives everybody an opportunity to enjoy the outdoors for events as well.”
Canning-Dean:
“Okay. And then, you know, I’ve seen you have many positive online reviews. What are some of the things that couples tell you they enjoyed the most about hosting their wedding at Williams on the Lake?”
Mark Williams:
“The two things that I hear, probably the three things that I hear the most are, that they love the grounds in every season. There’s a facet where they’re beautiful. It’s not a box in a parking lot type venue. I hear very often how wonderful the food is, and that people really enjoyed it and went back for seconds. Couples hear from their guests how good the food was and it’s a topic of conversation for years to come. And, the service. Our staff takes great pride in being professionals and still being able to maintain our family business feel.”
Canning-Dean:
“Okay, well, wonderful. I really appreciate you taking the time out with us today.”
Mark Williams:
“Thanks, Emily.”
Canning-Dean:
“Thanks.”
