WADSWORTH – Whether it is a large gala event or an intimate gathering, The Galaxy Banquet Center in Wadsworth is equipped to provide memorable celebrations from weddings, community dinners, corporate meetings and many special occasions.
The center provides a multi-function facility offering accommodations in its’ Mars, Moonlight, Starlight, and Venus banquet rooms. With starlit and cloud-scaped ceilings, the venue provides an elegant decor and enchanting atmosphere which is unique to Medina County.
“Our banquet space can be divided into four separate rooms,” said Sean Leatherman, Vice President of The Galaxy Dining & Entertainment Complex. “Just yesterday, we had different banquets going on in each room plus the cellar room.
“When we built the wine room, we included a cellar on the end of the room where we can store 5,000 bottles of wine…”
For larger events, the banquet center serves as one big ballroom with a maximum capacity of 500 guests. The Galaxy hosts an ongoing calendar of events and entertainment which showcase the facility.
The Galaxy’s Mars, Moonlight, Starlight, and Venus wedding and event venues offer a variety of room and table configurations. The team’s sales and catering staff have many table and place setting styles to review.

“All the rooms have high speed internet, and we have new visual screens all around the room,” Leatherman said. “So, if someone is having a large meeting and using the entire space, the screens can be synched to show the Power Point presentation or video the presenter is showing on the main screen. That way if someone is seated more in the back of the room, they will be able to see what the presenter is showing on a screen much closer to them.”
“If it is a wedding reception and the couple wants to show a wedding video, it can be on all the screens. When the space is divided up into smaller rooms, there are at least two screens in each room and we have decorative covers for the screens when they aren’t being used.”
For couples planning their big day or businesses or other organizations looking to put on a special event, members of The Galaxy’s sales staff will help every step of the way including planning the menu and booking rooms at the two adjacent hotels.
Illuminated ceilings and rooms set a mood for evening celebrations often receiving favorable comments from guests. High-definition screens provide playback for videos and slide presentations. Options for stage lighting also enhance the venue.

“We offer both a buffet or a served dinner and our associates will sit down with you and help you make those decisions,” Leatherman said. “Our menus are online, but our people will take you right through the process. Chicken piccata is a favorite dish and our carving stations with prime rib and tenderloin are very popular. But we can handle any budget and can work with clients on customized menus. Our banquet center has its own separate kitchen and banquet chef.”
Leatherman said staff at The Galaxy can also assist couples with finding other vendors that will help them achieve the vision they want for their reception.
“They can call our banquet sales office or make an online inquiry on our website. The first thing they will do is look at preferred dates to make sure we have availability, but we have partners we work with,” he said. “If you don’t have a DJ picked out, we have several you can choose from. We also have a vendor you can work with if you’re looking for a specific type of chair covers or we can help you find vendors for flowers or cakes.”
